According to data announced by the Employment Agency, the level of unemployment in December is 6.91%, which is 0.29 points higher than November. However, compared to December 2006, there has actually been a 2.212 points decrease.

In ten regions in Bulgaria, unemployment has been below the average for the country. In almost all regions (total of 26) December brought higher unemployment compared to the previous month.

Reports show that only in Sofia and Sofia – region there has actually been a minimum decrease in unemployment by 0.03 and 0.08 points accordingly.
